The E-Beetle is nearly finished being sprayed with insulation and we’re looking forward to reinstalling the batteries soon. Below is a photo of Nima working on the insulation yesterday
It’s official! Elektra is our latest addition to the ECC.
This former gasoline powered drag beetle will one day become the fastest street legal electric drag racer. She is in excellent shape and ready to be upgraded into a state-of-the-art electric rocket. Check out the pictures below.

UBC Electric Car is finally starting our new electric drag car! The platform we’re using is… Another Beetle!! It’s a light rear wheel drive car with plenty of character and access to parts. The chassis is arriving on Friday so she needs a name. Any members are welcome to vote on the name of the new car. The survey link is can be found here
