BMS installed in the E-Beetle

Neil is putting the final touches on the BMS Arduino unit. After many problems with the Ammeter, we’ve managed to get the system working accurately. Our next project for the E-Beetle is to assembly a user-friendly guide, in addition to the already open-source design & code.

Motors & BMS update

We’ve finally welded the mounts & dropped the motors into car.

We’ve been making progress in integrating our in-house designed X-BMS into the E-Beetle.

Torsion Bars Adjusted

Torsion bars were tensioned to handle the added weight of the batteries and motors. Unfortunately, this required the dismantling of the entire rear end.

We’re now ready to have the motor mounts welded later today.
