We have completed our motor mounting plan. Below is our current design for mounting the motors.

Each motor will drive a central shaft, which is connected to the transmission. This central shaft, as seen below, has undergone rigorous SolidWorks testing, and has been over engineered to withstand the immense torque and more.

Elektra has undergone some body modifications. As seen below, the motors fit!

We picked up our two brand new Warp 9 motors for Elektra UBC today, ordered through Electric Autosport. The motors look great and our Mech team is working on mounting and chain selection this week. The electrical guys have been meeting to discuss encoder and display options and progress is being made on our custom built motor controller as well!
We would like to welcome our new members as well! Jin, Simon and Peter joined the team this week and we’re glad to add their experience to our group.
